Over Roni Jonker

After finishing 1st and 2nd fase at the Conservatory in Groningen and The Hague (Holland), Ronald Jonker became a professional session musician with a passion for soul, funk and fuson music. He formed the band ‘Madabs’ in 1995, became a member of Dutch rockband ‘Chaos!’ in 1998 and joined the Ana Popovic Band in summer of 2006, with whom he toured around the world for over ten years.
Since 2018 he’s a part of ‘The Pact’, a band specialized in backing Smooth Jazz Artists, coming over from the United States for an European tour. Ronald also plays with ‘NW FRQNC’, an Acid Jazz – Funk collective featuring Selina Albright, and the legendary Dutch band ‘The Time Bandits’ with Alides Hidding.
Other artist he accompanied on his bass are Lenny Castro, Mike Finnigan, Allen Hinds, , Andrew “Blaze” Thomas, Mick Papadia, Owen Hart, Wietze Koning, Allard Gosens, Jeroen Bos, Marlon Daniel, Marijn Freeve, Rob Ahlers, Bobby Petrov, Ludmil Krumov, Steffen Morrison and many others.

Guitarist of Moluccan roots with over 30 years of experience in the Dutch pop scene. Performed with Thomas Berge and Alain Clarke, and combines his musicianship with a career as a professional dancer and choreographer.
